The Association of Insect Farming and Its Products (AIFIP) was pleased to join the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC) under the SWIFT program, to contribute to the national dialogue on strengthening Kenya’s circular economy, under the Theme: Building an Integrated Circular Economy Ecosystem.
Coming shortly after our own stakeholder event themed “Unlocking Kenya’s Insect Economy,” this forum offers a timely opportunity to align with KCIC’s efforts in driving waste innovation, enterprise development, and policy advancement.
The two-day convening aimed at:
🔹 Sharing best practices and lessons from circular enterprises
🔹 Showcasing innovative waste-to-value business models
🔹 Strengthening policy dialogue across national and county levels
🔹 Promoting collaboration and partnership across the ecosystem
🔹 Identify gaps and future priorities for Kenya’s circular transition
AIFIP looks forward to exploring potential collaboration opportunities with KCIC that support these objectives, including:
🔹 Integrating insect-based waste valorization into circular enterprise models
🔹 Co-developing supportive policy and regulatory frameworks
🔹 Joint training, research, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
🔹 Enhancing market and investment linkages for sustainable circular innovations
AIFIP remains committed to advancing scalable, inclusive, and climate-smart insect-based solutions that contribute to a resilient circular economy for Kenya.
